Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. (Hand forward, fingers spread, "jump" hand up and down)
One fell off (Forefinger up, pantomime the fall by pointing to the floor)
And broke his head. (Point to head)
Mama called the Doctor (Pretend to dial telephone)
And the Doctor said, (Shake forefinger as though scolding)
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"
Repeat the verse, decreasing the number of monkeys each time. On final repetition, the Doctor says, "Well, that's what you get for jumping on the bed!"


Five Little Monkeys II

Five little monkeys (Hand forward, fingers spread)
Swinging in a tree (Wiggle fingers)
Teasing Uncle Crocodile,
"Can't catch me!" (Either shake finger at audience or put hands on hips and flounce)
"No, you can't catch me!"
Along came Uncle Crocodile, (Form crocodile's head & jaw with other hand or put heels of hands together for a really BIG crocodile)
As quiet as can be... ("Swim" crocodile forward)
And snatched one monkey (Catch a finger with the crocodile mouth)
Right Off that tree. "Yumm!" (Rub tummy)
Repeat the verse, decreasing the number of monkeys each time. On final repetition, skip the last 2 lines . Keep the crocodile forward, moving him from side to side. "Now how about dessert?" (Point at audience)
