"The Rattlesnake"

Slither, slither goes the snakePut palms together at chest height and make "snaky" motions from side to side with arms.
"Listen for the sound I make..."Cup hand behind ear.
"If MY rattles you should hear..."Point to chest with thumb.
"Then, you'll know that danger's near."Put up hand in "stop" position.
Rattlesnake rattles--fill a small child-proof prescription bottle with rice or small beans. Put contact cement around the bottle top and screw on the lid. Let the children shake their rattles at the end of the finger play.
